Results of The 1999 Zurich Six Day Race

December 1st - December 5th 1998

Risi / Betschart lead Zürich Six with one night to go

Five nights of racing completed, one last thrilling night to go in Zurich six day race. Local heros and top Swiss six-day stars Bruno Risi and Kurt Betschart have moved up the head of the race, and are keen to achieve a record-breaking sixth win in Zurich.

Organiser Urs Freuler has shaken up many of the regular pairings this year, so we see Andreas Kappes paired with Jimmi Madsen (fresh from his win in the Ghent six-day), whilst Madsen's partner from the Ghent Six, Australia's Scott McGrory, rides with a former Australian, Matt Gilmore. Meantime, Gilmore's regular partner Etienne de Wilde is lurking down in 6th place with Denmark's Tayeb Braikia.
